CARStarted life as a 1972 Holden LC GTR Torana. Competed in NSW touring cars, hill climbs and club sprints. Became a Sports Sedan in 199? (not sure). Owned by Paul Adams from All About Gearboxes in Sydney and ran in NSW state championship for several years. V6 and 5 speed gearbox purchased by Garry Roberts in 2005, rebuilt and modified, ran as a steel bodied sedan for one season. Then the car was completely rebuilt for current fibreglass body. After a heavy impact at Sandown Historics in 2008, the Torana underwent a major overhaul. Steel rear panels were replaced with fibreglass and a newly acquired Buick Indy/Nascar Stage II V6 was installed. |
